D&D Outfitters - Location for elk hunting in Wyoming, mule deer hunting in Wyoming, whitetail deer hunting in Wyoming, mountain lion hunting in Wyoming.

D&D Outfitters is based 5 miles south of Worland, Wyoming. Worland is located in the middle of the Big Horn Basin in the North central part of the state. It is an agricultural community of around 6,000 people. Worland sits on the east side of the Big Horn River and utilizes it’s water for irrigation.

Commercial flights service Worland and the airport is only a mile from our camp. Most hunters that fly do come right into Worland but a few clients have chosen to fly into Casper Wyo., Cody Wyo., or Billings Mt. and rented a vehicle.

For thirty miles in any direction from Worland there is desert that we call the Badlands. This unique landscape receives only 6 to 8 inches of rain annually. From the badlands arise mountains on all sides. There are thirteen thousand foot peaks to our east and west. Most of our hunts take place east of Worland on ranches out of Tensleep.

In the past, successful hunters and wives have been able to travel through the Big Horn Basin and experience the many attractions. Thirty two miles South of Worland is the town of Thermopolis. Thermop is home to the worlds largest mineral hot springs and the pools there can soothe your aches and pains. There is also a world class dinosaur museum, and a Safari Club Inn near the pools that has a large collection of mounts and hunting pictures from around the world.

The town of Cody is 90 miles to the West of Worland, and Cody boast the famous Buffalo Bill Museum. This museum is a great treasure of western history. Inside you’ll find the worlds largest gun display, a Boone and Crockett collection including the Chadwick ram and other world records, and a new natural history wing full of knowledge about wildlife. Wives just love the shopping in Cody.

Yellowstone National Park is only another 50 miles past Cody. Some hunters have combined there hunt with a trip through the Park and many believe the Fall to be the best time to visit our first National Park. We would like to invite all past hunters and friends to stop in and see us on their summer vacations out here.
